Double Board Certified Interventional Pain Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician in Jasper, Ga
Dr. Jordan Tate offers a wide range of medical, interventional, and minimally invasive surgical treatments to heal chronic pain.
Introductory Consultation:
Physical Exam, Imaging Review, Diagnosis
With years of experience, Dr. Tate has the capabilities and expertise to determine the source of your chronic pain. We begin with a comprehensive evaluation of your physical, emotional, and anatomical determinants of pain. When appropriate, imaging studies and laboratory studies may be ordered and interpreted. It is important to have actual images available and not radiology report only.

Conservative Care
In most cases, it is necessary and appropriate to begin with conservative care approach. Dr. Tate will make recommendations for lifestyle adjustments, home exercise regimens, and over the counter products and medicines to aide in your initial treatment.

Strategic Plan of Care
Dr. Tate will direct a plan of care should initial conservative care fail to eliminate your pain. Referrals for physical therapy, psychological services, medical evaluations, or surgery may be indicated. Prescription medications, durable medical equipment, or interventional techniques will be employed.

Opiate pain medication is not indicated for most chronic pain conditions and will be reserved for patients who have been determined to be at low risk for addiction and diversion. Chronic Opioid Therapy is medically appropriate for refractory pain conditions and patients who have exhausted more conservative options.

Interventional Techniques
Injection therapy such as Trigger Point Injections, Epidural Injections, Nerve Blocks, and Joint Injections are common and effective ways to reduce chronic pain. Radiofrequency ablation and chemodenervation are more advanced techniques available. Minimally invasive implantable neuromodulation devices may be recommended for long-term chronic pain relief.
